Below is a brief instruction for you to know about the rug care

UNDERPADDING

A breathable non-slip mesh under pad is recommended when laying your area rug on a hardwood or the floor. If laying your rug on top of broadloom, a thicker felt under pad is recommended.

RUG  ROTATION

To ensure even wear, be sure to rotate your rug once a year.           

VACCUMING

Using the same vacuum attachment, you would use for hardwood floors, vacuum your area rug in the direction of the pile at least once a week. Do not vacuum the fringe of your area rug.

CLEANING

For surface cleaning: using a sponge, wipe a mixture of mild dish soap and water lightly over the entire surface of the area rug. Remove by wiping again using a clean cloth and water. For deep cleaning: your rug should be professionally cleaned every 3-5 years when you notice the color to be less vibrant. Area rug  in extremely high traffic areas may require more frequent cleaning. Please call us we will let you know which cleaning company to have your rug or carpet cleaned

STAINS

• The best way to remove any stain is to treat it IMMEDIATELY.
• Dilute the area with soda water or water and salt and let absorb.
• Using a clean white cloth or paper towel. Cover the area and press down several times with your hand and foot.
• Continue to blot the area until the stain is removed
• DO NOT RUB- this will only work the stain into the fibers deeper.
• IF THE STAIN PERSISITS , CALL A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER IMMEDIATELY
